As former Educational Adviser with the US-Italy Fulbright Commission at the US Consulate of Milan, Jeannette reached approx. 19,000 students at 25 Italian universities, across 8 regions of Northern Italy. Many authorities have put their trust in Ms. Law as an expert and keynote speaker in education. On a regular basis from 2006-2010, the US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs sponsored her to represent US educational advising with other EducationUSA Advisers in Washington DC and at European conferences.
On the Italian side, Jeannette collaborated regularly with the Agenzia Nazionale per lo Sviluppo dell’ Autonomia Scolastica (ex-IRRE) to present free seminars to teachers and students on diverse aspects of US education. Jeannette has developed a professional network with university Admissions colleagues across the 50 United States, Canada, the UK, Europe and Hong Kong; the College Board and UCAS; and testing organizations such as ETS, ACT, and Pearson Vue. A mother-tongue teacher of English by training, Ms. Law has helped hundreds of students to improve language skills and reach their university goals. At the American School of Milan, Jeannette guided 100% of students to college admission; 4 out of 5 were regularly admitted to the Ivy League. Encouraging students of all levels, Ms. Law coached each class to approx. $800,000 in annual merit scholarships. She was named 2007 CEMA Scholar by the Council of International Schools, and she now provides private university counseling to students from licei and international schools in the Milan area. The services of SAGE Advising include expertise in many areas. In 2012, we gained accreditation with the Morrisby Guidance Service, a widely used, London-based assessment for international student guidance. Ms. Law also worked with university students while she was a career counselor at Wellesley College, her alma mater, as well as a professor of English composition at Berklee College of Music. She knows British universities from personal and professional experience, having earned a Master’s degree in English from Cambridge University.
